Viva Leisure expansion now sees it active as a club owner in Western Australia
Viva Leisure’s ongoing expansion has seen enter the Western Australia market as a corporate club owner with the completion of its acquisition of the Plus Fitness Alkimos property.
The 11th corporate owned Plus Fitness location and the group’s 142 corporate location, the metropolitan Perth acquisition came in a week when the group opened three new locations - Club Lime Nundah (Queensland), Club Lime Coburg and Hiit Republic Coburg (both in Victoria) - massive This week the group will open two more locations in Ballarat - Club Lime and Hiit Republic while its second GroundUp is set to open before the end of the month.
Despite being impacted by COVID-19 closures, Viva Leisure achieved $34 million in revenue during the first half of the current financial year.
Viva Leisure Chief Executive and Managing Director Harry Konstantinou, recently advised that it plans to franchise its most recent brand acquisition, Rebalance Pilates & Yoga, as well as its Hiit republic fitness concept.
Konstantinou stated "with approximately 10 Rebalance and 23 Hiit republic locations now operating, the foundations to start growing the franchising part of these brands has already been laid
Viva owns 12 health club and fitness brands, predominantly corporate owned. Last year’s purchase of eight Rebalance studios as well as the master franchisor rights and IP adds to the multi-brand portfolio.
