Virgin Active to open third club in Sydney CBD
Virgin Active Health Clubs are set to open their third Australian facility in Sydney’s new Mid City Centre arcade.
Located on the upper floor of the new retail space in the office and retail tower at 420 George Street skyscraper in the Sydney CBD the 5,000 metre2 club will promote a holistic approach to health and fitness that incorporates body, mind and soul.
As with the group’s Melbourne CBD club, the facility will be up to date with international trends including:
• Sleep pods - extremely popular with CBD workers wanting a lunch time power nap;
• A rock climbing wall;
• Mind and body studios designed to create a total wellness experience with the feel of a day spa;
• Reformer Pilates, included in the membership fee. Other gyms offer this at an additional cost;
• Power Plate vibration training;
• Technogym Kinesis – a gravity resistant work out the reconnects body and mind, encouraging exploration of the body’s natural movement;
• Relaxation spas and sauna;
• Group classes including Gym Stix, Latin Dance, Fight Do, various types of yoga, Pilates including pre and post natal;
• V-Café offering organic food suitable for pre and post workout; and
• Free internet access.
The new club is expected to cater for city centre workers.
