Valley Of The Giants Tree Top Walk achieves Advanced Ecotourism Certification

The Valley Of The Giants Tree Top Walk, located in the Walpole-Nornalup National Park in the Shire of Denmark, South West, Western Australia, has achieves Advanced Ecotourism Certification.

One of the area's most popular visitor attractions, the destinations allows visitors to embark on an unforgettable walk through the tall trees in the magnificent Giant Tingle forest.

The Tree Top Walk is a well constructed 40 metre walkway with a steady ascent, which takes visitors on a gradual climb high into the forest canopy.

There is also a continuation of the tour, known as the 'Ancient Empires Walk', where visitors enjoy an interpretive trail that meanders through the ancient forest floor following the story of the lost era of Gondwana - the perfect opportunity to marvel at the sheer magnitude of the Giant Tingle trees – some reaching as high as 26 metres into the sky.

As a natural site, the environmental management of the area is of great importance.

Valley of the Giants are dedicated to protecting the natural environment in which their beautiful trees inhabit and are actively involved in ensuring the neutralisation of their carbon footprint, keeping excavation to a minimum and using no artificial fertilizers in the area, among other environmental management procedures.

The Advanced Ecotourism (ECO) Certification program is managed by Ecotourism Australia.
