SwimStart program continues to support Queensland children
Round 3 of the SwimStart program has opened to help Queensland families cover the cost of swimming lessons.
SwimStart is designed to improve water safety for children up to four years of age with vouchers valued at up to $150.
Swimming remains one of Queensland’s biggest sports for children, and lessons from an early age support an introduction to physical activity.
Parents and carers will have until June 2026 to redeem their vouchers.
Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tim Mander urged all eligible families to apply noting “the SwimStart program sets our youngest Queenslanders up to learn the necessary skills to become confident swimmers.
“Swimming is a huge part of the Queensland lifestyle, so it’s important that our kids learn about water safety from a young age.”
“I strongly encourage all eligible families to take advantage of the program and apply for SwimStart vouchers.
