Universal Studios Japan welcomes 10 millionth visitor
The number of visitors to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka has this week reached 10 million for the current 2103/14 financial, hitting the threshold for the first time since the park's inaugural year of operation in 2001.
Park management attribute the high level of visitation to recently opened attractions including The Ride rollercoaster and an expanded family area that features popular characters such as Snoopy and Hello Kitty.
Consistently ranked among the top 10 most visited theme parks in the world, Universal Studios Japan greeted its 100 millionth visitor on in October 2012.
The park is one of four Universal Studios theme parks, owned and operated by USJ Co., Ltd. with a license from NBC Universal.
