UFC Gym to open first Arabian Gulf club in Dubai in 2016

The global expansion of the UFC brand will see the opening of a new UFC GYM® in Dubai early in 2016.

The gym, the first UFC facility in the United Arab Emirates and Gulf Cooperation Council, considerably expands the geographical reach of the franchise and is the first of several gyms scheduled to open throughout the region.

Since debuting in 2009, UFC GYM® has opened more than 120 locations throughout the United States, Australia and Canada. The fitness franchise has continued to grow at a pace, opening more than 50 locations in the past two years and more than 100 clubs expected to open in the next year.

Announcing the opening UFC GYM® Chief Executive Brent Leffel explains “the exponential growth we have experienced to date and the overwhelming response to our fitness concept and brand proposition has been incredible.

“Our Middle East partnership marks a huge milestone for our company. We are excited to build on this momentum with the continued development of new UFC Gym locations with strong partners around the world.”

Based in the UAE, Fitness Master Franchises has signed an exclusive development agreement to open UFC Gyms throughout the Middle East.

“From our athletes to our fan base, we have seen significant growth throughout international markets. We are thrilled UFC Gym is expanding to the emirates and bringing signature MMA styles of training and fitness to a new region.”

UFC GYM® offers a full-range of functional fitness classes, group and private MMA training, group fitness, personal and group dynamic performance-based training, plus MMA youth programming, providing training programs to fit all ages and fitness levels.

Membership includes unlimited access to UFC Octagon and signature classes such as Daily Ultimate Training (DUT), TRX, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, boxing, mixed martial arts conditioning, women’s self-defence, as well as group fitness classes such as Zumba, yoga, Cycle Circuit and more.
