Turnkey Management Group creates nearly $20 million in incremental value of live events for clients
The Turnkey Management Group recently announced a remarkable achievement in helping entertainment, sport and venue industry clients increase their income – generating $19.9 million in incremental revenue for clients in the 12 month period from October 2012 to September 2013.
The result is a record for the specialist sport and entertainment industry consultancy in its five year history.
Turnkey Management Group (TMG) undertakes an annual audit to review project outcomes for clients throughout the previous financial year. The tally represents the value of specific outcomes from TMG recommendations, or those that can be reasonably expected pending implementation.
TMG Director Rob McQuade explained “our core proposition is that we apply our capability to help our clients make more money from events. The audit allows us to measure the value we have generated collectively for clients without revealing individual organisation’s commercially sensitive information. Confidentiality is important and this audit allows us to demonstrate how we make a difference to our clients without breaching that trust.
“The audit only factors outcomes where we have worked with the client on a project to completion, in which case the incremental annual value generated for the client is captured, or where we have made specific and actionable recommendations for which a reasonable and predictable outcome can be calculated.
Projects that are strategic in nature but for which outcomes are possible but speculative are not included.”
During the 12 month period Turnkey Management Group worked on 28 individual projects for 16 different clients including five national profile sporting bodies, venues in five Australian and New Zealand cities, one of Australia’s leading entertainment groups, an arts company and several industry supplier organisations.
McQuade added “our team has diverse experience in terms of the live event industry, having worked in venues, sport, live music, major events, commercial theatre, the performing arts, media and supplier organisations.
“We also bring a 360 degree view, understanding intimately the consumer, event owner, venue and supplier and sponsor partner economies.
We now have five years of our own corporate history to complement the almost 50 years combined hands on industry employment experience in the team.”
Fellow Turnkey Management Group Director, Dion Brant concluded “to hit $19.9 million in benefit to clients is a fantastic result. Even more satisfying is that often we are helping clients to realise structural change in the commercial base of their organisation, meaning that the benefits we identify are repeated year on year into perpetuity. It really underpins what we stand for as a business.”
Turnkey Management Group is a Sydney based consultancy specialising in providing commercial and strategic advice to sporting organisations, event owners, venues and suppliers to the live event industry.
