Tourism Training Australia offer first industry-approved course for food handlers in Australia
Tourism Training Australia is offering ‘Food Safety Training for Food Handlers’ - the first industry-approved course for food handlers in Australia, that meets the new requirements in the Australian Food Code.
With food safety being a top priority for all those involved in food handling, it's essential to have the knowledge and skills to ensure safe practices.
The mandatory Australian Food Code requirement, introduced in December 2022, means that all food handlers must have undertaken training by the end of 2023. This industry first and approved course is designed for a wide range of roles, including cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen stewards, kitchen hands, bar, food & beverage attendants, room attendants, front office staff, and anyone who handles or transports food.
By participating in this training, you'll learn the best practices for food handling, relevant regulations, and your responsibilities as a food handler. You'll gain an understanding of the food safety standards and responsibilities that food handlers must adhere to, as well as the skills and knowledge required to ensure the safety and suitability of food.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a digital badge, providing evidence that you have met the requirements under the changes to the Food Code. You'll also receive credit toward the Food Safety Supervisors Training should you wish to complete that program in the future.
Register and complete the Food Safety Training for Food Handlers today and ensure that you have the compliance requirements for safe food handling practices.
