Award winning Timezone operators to open new FEC in Coolangatta
Leading family entertainment centre operator Timezone is to open a new entertainment destination at Coolangatta on the Gold Coast on Saturday 27th February.
Located on The Strand at Coolangatta, the new 3,000 metre² FEC will feature full size bowling lanes which will provide a great location for holiday parties, corporate events, birthday celebrations and any other occasion along with more than 200 of the latest and most popular games and attractions to play including the classic favourites - dodgem cars and laser skirmish.
With the finishing touches being made to facility following several months of construction, the official opening will feature an exciting parade to which all Southern Gold Coast residents have been invited to.
The ‘Carnivale’ themed parade will begin at 10am starting from the beach foreshore and wind its way through to The Strand at Coolangatta right up to the front entrance of Timezone Coolangatta.
Timezone Coolangatta is being managed by the team behind Timezone Surfers Paradise - who won the IAAPA Brass Ring award as the best Family Entertainment Centre in the world in 2014.

Jacub explains “we have put a lot of effort into the building of this newest Timezone at Coolangatta to ensure that we support the local community.
“Our choice of Coolangatta is based around what we feel is needed in the area, and our new family entertainment centre is certainly able to meet that need.
“The Timezone Coolangatta centre will complement our already highly successful Surfers Paradise location, as well as providing additional jobs on the Southern Gold Coast.”
The Strand’s Marketing Manager, Sarah Clasen, said the centre was looking forward to opening Timezone Coolangatta’s doors to the public for the first time, adding “we’re excited to throw open the doors of the Gold Coast’s newest Timezone on Saturday 27 February, and the opening parade will be a great way to celebrate the newest arrival at The Strand.
“Everyone is invited to join in the fun and enjoy the whole spectacle as it winds its way across Coolangatta.” The February opening of Timezone Coolangatta complements the entertainment offering at The Strand, including BCC Cinemas and their popular school holiday activities.
