Ticketek launches new social ticketing tool 'Invite A Friend' function

Ticketek has launched an improved social ticket buying experience, 'Invite A Friend', giving customers the ability to reserve tickets next to them, and send invitations via Facebook for their friends to buy these tickets.
This unique feature makes it easy for customers to organise a group for an event, without the hassle of having to pay for everyone's tickets upfront. It gives the customer complete control over who they invite, with no obligation to buy the reserved tickets.
Invite A Friend is designed to create a simple way to get friends together for an event, meeting the needs of the modern customer's online social habits by letting them connect with and organise a group of friends in one go, while guaranteeing that everyone will be seated together.
Ticketek Managing Director Cameron Hoy explained "the integration of Invite A Friend with Facebook taps into the power of peer recommendation, letting customers share the events they love among their social groups while making it as easy as possible to buy tickets with a group of friends.
"We see events shared regularly through Facebook, and have developed this product to further enhance the fan experience by providing tools for friends to purchase tickets and go to events together."
Ticketek has launched Invite A Friend with an innovative marketing campaign encouraging customers to 'Say No to Cheap Friends' - designed to resonate with customers who experience that common frustration of the friend who never pays them back.
The campaign encourages these customers to stand up and say no to their cheap friends, by using Invite A Friend to get their friends pay for their own tickets.
As with all Ticketek product innovations, Invite A Friend has been developed locally by Ticketek's in-house team and is now available across over 250 events on sale through Ticketek.
