Three New Zealand Personal Trainers are finalists in the Global PT Search

Three Personal Trainers based in New Zealand have been chosen as finalists in the 2013 Life Fitness Global Personal Trainers to Watch.

Finalists include Christchurch based Jean Scott & Catherine Grace, and Wellington based Mish McCormack. With over 1500 entries from 43 countries, New Zealand having three spots in the top ten is, according to NZ Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) Registrar Stephen Gascal, "an amazing feat."

Gacsal adds "we hear stories daily about the work personal trainers do in improving the lives of everyday kiwis, and having New Zealanders represented so well in these awards is a testament to all trainers in New Zealand, and their high standards.

"All the three kiwi trainers are truly world class, having won national awards both inside and outside the fitness industry. Also, all the trainers are registered with REPs, the exercise professionals registration body in New Zealand, which is an essential element of choosing any trainer, be it for an award, or just when choosing one to use."

The Global PT search was a compressive search around the world for the very best trainers, and involved over 50 counties, and included judges from around the globe, including Fitness New Zealand Chief Executive Richard Beddie, who is also chair of the International Confederation of Register for Exercise Professionals (ICREPs).
