Three Guinness World Records broken at the Fitness Show Sydney
An attempt by representatives of the OUTRUN CANCER charity to break three Guinness World Records at Fitness Show Sydney over the weekend was a success with new records created for the the furthest run on a treadmill in 24 hours.
Hosted on the Technogym stand on 29th and 30th April 2017, the attempt, which saw four dedicated Technogym Excite treadmills worked around the clock, saw Outrun Cancer founder and Chief Runner Luca Turrini and all participating teams across the finish line.
In the process, the following Guinness World Records were broken:
• Male Team (12 runners) - Previous record 400 kilometres, new record: 424.63 kilometres
• Female Team (12 runners) - Previous record: 319 kilometres, new record: 346.24 kilometres
• Individual Male (1 runner) - Luca Turrini - Previous record: 261 kilometres , new record: 261.18 kilometres
The Guinness World Records attempt also raised funds for the Camp Quality children's charity.
The Technogym stand at the Fitness Show Sydney was also the scene for the announcement that the company has been named as the Official Fitness Equipment Supplier for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games while also seeing the Australian launch of the new Technogym SKILLROW.
The first indoor rowing equipment designed to improve anaerobic power, aerobic capacity and neuromuscular abilities in one solution, SKILLROW has been designed to provide an unparalleled feeling that stimulates the act of rowing on water.
