Thredbo named Australia’s Best Ski Resort sixth consecutive year
Thredbo has won the accolade of being Australia’s Best Ski Resort at the World Ski Awards for the sixth year in a row.
Celebrating excellence in ski tourism, the annual World Ski Awards attracts votes from hundreds of thousands of travel professionals and skiers across the globe.
This year saw Thredbo attracted a high number of votes for its range of newly developed experiences, Australia’s only alpine Gondola and its variety of terrain for all abilities.
In the second year in which it has offered its guests a selection of unique on-mountain experiences, including Snowcat Dinners at either the famous Kareela Hutte or Merritts Mountain House, Thredbo’s guests were also able to enjoy sunrises and first tracks as part of the Sunrise Sessions.
Offering the longest runs in Australia, Thredbo offers skiers and snowboarders a range of terrain, as well as access to the highest lifted point in the country at 2037 metres elevation.
Off the slopes, Thredbo offers a choice of different après events including live music and DJs, exceptional food and wine at the variety of restaurants, and fireworks and flare runs.
Other Australian winners included Novotel Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa Hotel, named Australia's Best Ski Hotel 2022; Astra Falls Creek named Australia's Best Ski Boutique Hotel 2022 and Sequoia Penthouse Thredbo announced as Australia's Best Ski Chalet 2022.
In New Zealand, Mt Hutt was named the country's Best Ski Resort for 2022.
