The Big Banana launches new duelling raft slides

Coffs Harbour attraction The Big Banana Fun Park has revealed the expansion of its waterpark with the addition a new waterslide feature, the Duelling Raft Slides.

Launched from a 16-metre-high platform, each of the Duelling Raft Slides spans over 170 metres in length, offering riders a thrilling journey through both open and dark enclosed sections.

As a statement from the Big Banana advises “adventurers will experience a rush of adrenaline as they navigate through dynamic SFX lighting effects that create a captivating atmosphere, making it feel as though they are soaring through a time warp.”

The unique mirror design of the slides allows for friendly competition between riders, as they race down tandem rafts equipped with five doughnuts each. The thrill of racing against friends and family is sure to create unforgettable memories and endless laughter.

With safety a top priority at The Big Banana Fun Park, the new Duelling Raft Slides are designed for accessibility. Children only need to be 110cm tall to ride alongside an adult, making the attraction ideal for families looking for shared adventures.

Following their recent opening, Michael Lockman, Chief Executive of The Big Banana Fun Park, advised “the addition of the Duelling Raft Slides is an exciting enhancement to our waterpark, allowing us to offer even more thrilling experiences for our guests.

“We can't wait for families and friends to come together and enjoy this incredible new attraction.”

Set to celebrate its 60th anniversary this summer, The Big Banana Fun Park is also counting down to the upcoming launch of its newest attraction, Axe Throwing.

Offering an innovative twist on traditional axe throwing the new feature incorporates the high-tech Champ Throw system, featuring four dynamic lanes with digital targets that promise engaging gameplay for all ages.
