Sunshine Coast Council releases aquatic centres lease tender
The Sunshine Coast Council has opened a tender for 10-year management leases for six of its nine aquatic centres.
The tenders are invited for the Beerwah Aquatic Centre, Buderim Aquatic Centre, Coolum – Peregian Aquatic Centre, Eumundi Aquatic Centre, Nambour Aquatic Centre and Palmwoods Aquatic Centre.
The tender, listed on the Australasian Leisure Management Tender page, states “operators who could add significant ‘value’ to a facility by investing in the construction of additional facilities (in line with site concept plans) are encouraged."
The Council has also advised that it may award the contracts in separable portions and that “tenderers may submit an offer for the lease of any one or multiple facilities.”
The leases will be offered for an initial 10-years, with the option to extend for a further five years at the Council’s discretion.
Tenders close at 12noon on 18th April 2017.
