Strong start for Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo
Close to 4,000 visitors were drawn to the inaugural 2011 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo, held on the weekend of 15th and 16th October at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
In addition to the strong attendance figure, the Expo attracted 67 prominent industry brands and organisations eager to showcase their products and concepts to a market searching for new and innovative health and fitness solutions.
Highlights of the Expo included guest appearances by celebrity fitness trainer and mentor Shannan Ponton from The Biggest Loser, Mr Natural Universe and Mr Olympia, Kiyoshi Moody and world Kickboxing Champion Ian Jacobs.
Visitors were also kept engaged and inspired throughout the weekend by new product demonstrations, strongman and strongwoman spectacles as well as high energy performances from the ZUMBAï¾® troupe and Goodlife Health Clubs group fitness team.
Expo Owner Jason Greenhalgh said plans were already being made for the 2012 event, on the back of a great response from industry and the public to the inaugural event this year.
Greenhalgh explained "thanks to the hard work and support of everyone involved this year, the Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo is well positioned to return as an even bigger and better event in 2012.
"The exhibitors and visitors of the Expo this year share our enthusiasm to see this event grow, and we can't wait to surprise and delight them with what we can put together next year."
The inaugural 2011 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo was supported by Fitness Australia, Obesity Prevention Australia, Muscle & Fitness Magazine, Flex Magazine, Brisbane BMW, Organic Cha, 4BC, Channel Nine and Nova 106.9FM.
