Star Tracing across the Globe

Star Trac's international business continues to grow via a series of deals struck with Fitness First and Virgin Active.
Following a successful trial in Johannesburg, the HumanSport range of cable equipment will now be installed in eight Virgin Active sites across South Africa as part of a global contract.
Fitness First has already installed the kit in six clubs in Holland, France and Germany, with further deals in the pipeline. As Steve Kouma, European PT manager at Fitness First explains, "our goal is for all new clubs across Europe to have the HumanSport range. The equipment is dynamic and functional, which reflects our PT model for Europe: challenging trainers to think differently, using less fixed kit and focusing on functional movement."
Star Tarc has also signed its first deal for the NXT bike in Italy, with 25 sites lined up for installation following a number of installations at sites in France.
Harry Harris, director of European key accounts for Star Trac, explains "our aim is to provide a 'best in class' offering so, although we've had the HumanSport range for about 18 months, we've only recently started promoting it. Our first priority was to develop a full solution, with an education and REPs-accredited training package.
"We're delighted with these deals and will be looking to expand the business still further next year."
