Sports Venue Business counts down to Marvel Stadium networking event

Having successfully staged its inaugural SVB LIVE Global Networking Event in Perth in March, Ireland-based website Sports Venue Business (SVB) will be staging the second event in the series at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on 25th June.

Commenting on the success of the Perth event, SVB advised “this gathering was an excellent opportunity for sports and live entertainment industry professionals to network, collaborate, and explore new possibilities that could shape the future of sports and entertainment venues in Australia and across the APAC region.”

Next week’s event at Marvel Stadium will include a tour of the venue’s newly renovated premium hospitality areas, along with high-level panel sessions featuring top executives from Tennis Australia, Melbourne & Olympic Parks, Football Australia and Stadiums Tasmania.

The event also offers an hour of networking, complete with drinks and canapés, plus access to the year-round SVB LIVE Business Club app, powered by Bundeling.

Speakers include:

  • Peter Filopoulos, Chief Corporate Affairs Brand and Communications Officer, Football Australia

  • Karen Clydesdale, Head of Customer Experience and CRM, Tennis Australia

  • Adam Summerville, Chief Executive and Managing Partner, Ground Control Global

  • James Avery, Chief Executive, Stadiums Tasmania

  • Simon Gorr, Executive Director at Ontoit and Director at Outpoint Group

  • Lisa Price CVE, Head of Australian Open, Melbourne and Olympic Parks

  • Cassandra Calleja, Head of Business Development and Client Relations, SVB LIVE and Sports Venue Business

The series’ main event will be the SVB LIVE Conference and Exhibition, taking place at Croke Park Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on 9th and 10th October.

SVB LIVE is intended to help elevate the live experience and empower those working at sports and live entertainment entities, with a focus on the fan experience and the customer journey, catering & concessions, architecture and design, hospitality and interiors, premium, sustainability, technology and venue commercialisation.
