Sporting conferences converge on the Gold Coast
In less than two weeks the Gold Coast is set to host two major sport industry conferences, Money In Sport from 12th to 14th November and the Australian Sports Commission’s biennial Our Sporting Future conference from 15th to 17th November.
Appealing to broadly similar audiences, Money In Sport describes its event as “the ultimate sports business conference, uniting industry leaders and decision makers under the one roof”.
Similarly, Australian Sports Commission Chief Executive Kate Palmer describes the Our Sporting Future conference as bringing “together leaders and influencers from sport and related sectors to discuss Australia’s sporting future and will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear world-class speakers share their experiences and provide practical advice to grow your sport.”
Money In Sport is being held at The Star, the former Jupiters, at Broadbeach, while the Our Sporting Future event is being held at the adjacent Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Our Sporting Future is backed by the Committee of Australian Sport and Recreation Officials (CASRO), the Federal Government advisory group reconstituted from the former Standing Committee on Recreation and Sport (SCORS).
The busy sport management week is also seeing the Sports Environment Alliance holding its 2017 Summit in Melbourne on 14th November.
