SportelAsia to be hosted in Shanghai

SportelAsia, the Asian edition of the world sport content media convention Sportel, is set to be hosted in Shanghai, China on 3rd and 4th March.

The trade show of the international sport business market for sports rights, Sportel offers business opportunities to a wide range of companies involved with international sports content including broadcasters, program distributors, sports marketing agencies, satellite services, sports federations, leagues and teams.

The upcoming event will also see a coming together of Sportel and Oceans Marketing, one of China's leading sports marketing agencies.

In advance of the event, Sportel and Oceans Marketing have signed a collaboration agreement to develop the Asian market for the event.

The partnership will see Oceans Marketing use their extensive network within Asia to promote SportelAsia 2014 while also delivering a joint conference program event that will share Oceans Marketing's valuable knowledge of the Chinese sports commerce sector with the Sportel community.

Welcoming the partnership, Sportel General Manager Amparo Di Fede stated "we are happy to have Oceans Marketing as our strategic commercial partner to develop the Asian market, especially with their extensive network and understanding of the Chinese national sports commerce sector."

SportelAsia is being staged at Shanghai's Kerry Hotel.
