South Pacific Health Clubs looks towards opening of first Platinum facility
Popular Melbourne-based fitness brand South Pacific Health Clubs is to open its first Platinum facility in Camberwell.
Set to open in late July/early August, the new club, the seventh in the South Pacific chain, will feature an innovative BURN Studio incorporating, HIIT, strength, suspension, cardio and power sessions with heartrate tracking.
Built at a cost of more than $1 million, the new facility will offer a holistic approach to health and wellbeing with its high intensity BURN studio through to hot yoga, Reformer Pilates and people who need 24/7 gym access.
Introducing the new facility, South Pacific Health Clubs Director, Conn Constantinou explains “our new club will be filling a void in Camberwell and surrounding suburbs offering people everything in a small group training environment.
“Based on research we know location is a key factor for people joining a gym but this new club is not just attracting people from the local area, as are having members sign up from Toorak/Richmond area.
“While we see the boutique model as the fastest growing area in the fitness industry - and there’s 24/7 gyms and plenty of small studios such as F45, yoga and Pilates in the area - we say ‘why choose four studios when you can join here and be part of one?’”
In addition to the BURN Studio the new club will offer 24/7 access; cardio and pin and plate loaded resistance machines; a functional and bodyweight training zone; a wellness zone with eight styles of yoga including hot and anti-gravity and Reformer Pilates, CRUZ Cycle with Les Mills Trip Immersive Live and virtual classes plus body scans and full health and fitness induction.
The facility will be managed by Jess Jacobs who has been part of the South Pacific Health Clubs team over the past 18 months and was acknowledged as a huge asset to its Mentone gym.
