Pavigym’s Functional Training launches at new Chadstone South Pacific Health Club
South Pacific Health Clubs’ latest facility in the Melbourne suburb of Chadstone is offering a range of technological innovations and world-class training techniques including the world’s first and longest Pavigym 3.0 Mood Lighting Walkway.
Pavigym’s installation, which also includes Pavigym 1.0 and 2.0 training concepts, presents a unique range of floor colours, with different solutions for selected areas of the club and the ability to utilise floor spaces in a completely new way through specific line markings.
Following a long career in the fitness industry, owner Conn Constantinou followed his passion of helping people change their lives on a daily basis by opening the first South Pacific at the St Kilda Sea Baths in 2000 – where Pavigym flooring had also been retrofitted.
Commenting on the installations, Constantinou explains “as a long term player in the fitness industry it is important for South Pacific Health Clubs to remain at the forefront of the Industry, providing a vast array of quality health club facilities, fitness professionals and innovative programs.
“Our Premier Clubs are ‘not your normal gym’ helping people improve their health and fitness and overall quality of life on a daily basis.
“The re-fit at our St Kilda Club has been an outstanding success.
“The overall aesthetics of the colours and floor line markings have been extremely popular allowing the Club to increase member numbers dramatically even with the increased competition.
“We have no doubt the attraction will continue at our new Chadstone Facility with members seeking new training techniques and motivation.”
PAVIGYM™ 3.0 is an intelligent and interactive floor with integrated LED lights controlled by touch screen software, enabling trainers to design and track their training sessions. Lights and music can also be controlled at the touch of a button.

Pavigym’s range of flooring innovations will be on display on Stand R6 at the 2015 Australian Fitness & Health Expo, being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 10th to 12th April.
