Share Our Space program opens outdoor facilities to community at hundreds of NSW schools through holidays
The NSW Government’s Share Our Space program is allowing community members to use outdoor facilities at public schools during holidays for a wide range of activities, from sports and recreation to cultural events and celebrations.
Through Share Our Space, the NSW Government aims to ensure that everyone has access to quality outdoor facilities during school holidays noting “schools are designed to be welcoming and inclusive and the Share Our Space program helps us go even further by ensuring that everyone can benefit from these facilities.
“In addition, the program helps to build stronger ties between our schools and the broader community. By sharing space with the community, we can help create a sense of ownership and responsibility for our schools and their role in building relationships, connections and resilience for all.”
From Wednesday 21st December 2022 until Sunday 22nd January 2023, the outdoor facilities at hundreds of schools will be open. They will be available to the public to use between 8 am and 5 pm, including public holidays. Please check the times and days before you visit as some schools are only open on weekends.
Please look for a Share Our Space sign on the school gate displaying a QR code that you can scan to see a list of schools open across NSW
