SFRITO rebrands as 'Skills Active' Aotearoa

New Zealand's Sport, Fitness and Recreation Industry training organization (SFRITO) has been rebranded and relaunched as Skills Active Aotearoa.

The renamed organisation will continue to be the industry training organisation for the sport, fitness and recreation industries, and in addition to setting standards on the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) framework for these sectors, it will also assists workplaces to train and assess their staff while gaining nationally recognised qualifications.

Explaining the change, Skills Active Chief Executive Sue Fitzmaurice has stated "re-branding has been incredibly exciting for us, as we worked creatively on how we want our industries to see us. Behind a great new look though is a promise about the service we provide. We've put a huge effort through 2008 into re-designing many of our services and systems, and weâre very enthusiastic about providing the very best to our trainees."

In addition to a new name and logo, the Skills Active 'brand' is highlighted by a series of exciting action shots of Skills Active staff engaged in many of their own sports and recreation activities, and incorporating the winged image of the logo.
