Scenic World offers new illuminating outdoor night experience

Scenic World is offering its first ever outdoor evening experience – ‘Light Up the Night’ which will illuminate the night sky with a Disco Skyway.

Light Up the Night commences at sundown from 25th June – 11th July, and celebrates the stunning Blue Mountains night sky as part of an illuminated evening circuit.

Featuring a Disco Skyway with epic lights and music curated by local legends, Hermitude, visitors can soak up the stars like never before – suspended 270metres above the Jamison Valley.

Scenic World Chief Experience Officer, Amanda Byrne said the new experience was developed in response to strong customer demand for nature-based evening experiences in the Blue Mountains.

Byrne notes “Light Up the Night celebrates our stunning escarpments and natural environment, offering visitors new and exciting ways to explore our world heritage wilderness.

“We’re excited to introduce new, innovative product that builds on our strengths in delivering authentic experiences with world class customer service, appealing to domestic travellers who are looking for unique experiences close to home.”

Light Up the Night also seamlessly connects with the Katoomba Night-Lit Walk, operated by Blue Mountains City Council, which has been a major drawcard for Sydneysiders looking to escape the city.

Light Up the Night offers visitors the opportunity to watch the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls and Orphan Rock come to life as part of a dazzling light display and to continue the journey along the Katoomba Falls Night-Lit Walk - a family-friendly 1.3 kilometre evening light circuit, operated by Blue Mountains City Council.

Visitors can wrap up the adventure with a return trip on the Disco Skyway and treat their tastebuds at Scenic Supper while enjoying starry views over the valley.

Byrne adds “we are thrilled to work together with BMCC to promote the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains, and provide a new outdoor evening event for locals and visitors to enjoy.”

Light Up the Night operates daily at Scenic World from 5pm – 9.30pm, 25th June to 11th July (*excluding 28th and 29th June).

Tickets cost $22 per adult when purchased in conjunction with a daytime Scenic Pass, including one free child with every paying adult.

Scenic Supper is open every day from 5pm – no tickets required.

Scenic World is proud to accept Dine & Discover NSW vouchers.
