Royal Life Saving launches National Aquatic Industry Safety Awards
Royal Life Saving Society – Australia has announced the launch of the National Aquatic Industry Safety Awards - designed to acknowledge the achievements of aquatic facilities and their staff and provide an opportunity to formally recognise their commitment to improving safety outcomes.
An initiative of Royal Life Saving and the National Aquatic Industry Safety Committee, the awards add to the suite of signature programs within the annual RLSSA calendar of events.
Launching the new awards program, a Royal Life Saving statement advised “establishing the awards program also provides a powerful motivation tool to further encourage ongoing professional development for corporate organisations, community engagement and individual action in reducing drowning deaths and injuries in aquatic facilities.
“In addition, the awards establish new standards of excellence in for aquatic facilities and act as a catalyst to increase safety activities in aquatic facilities around Australia.”
Nominations are open until 2nd June with finalists to be notified as of 9th June.
