Roof at Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium still leaking despite $70,000 repair project
A project to repair the roof at the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium appears to have been unsuccessful with the structure still leaking during wet weather.
Bathurst Regional Council undertook the $70,000 project to fix the roof at the indoor arena, which would often leak during rainfall events in 2021.
However, the work appears to have not been a success.
Back in May 2019, the Council secured a NSW Government grant worth $147,647 for upgrades the venue's floorboards, install air conditioners in the foyer area and install glass-screen doors in the foyer to keep the temperature at a constant comfort level.
New toilets and shower partitions were also installed in the amenities block.
