Riverina Murray region triumphs at 2024 NSW Tourism Awards

The Riverina Murray region has triumphed at the 2024 NSW Tourism Awards with local tourism operators securing an impressive array of accolades.

From a record-breaking 16 finalists, the region secured nine wins (2 Gold, 3 Silver, 3 Bronze and 1 Judges Star Award) across diverse categories, further solidifying its reputation as a must-see travel destination in New South Wales and beyond.

The 2024 NSW Tourism Awards showcased the very best in the industry, with over 200 submissions vying for recognition. Riverina Murray finalists were lauded for their innovation, dedication, and ability to deliver unforgettable visitor experiences. Their success is a testament to the region's growing visitor economy and commitment to excellence.

Yvette Myhill, General Manager of Destination Riverina Murray (DRM), applauded the region’s outstanding performance noting "we are incredibly proud of all our finalists and winners. Their achievements highlight the passion and dedication of our local operators who continue to elevate the Riverina Murray region as a must-visit destination. These awards celebrate their hard work and creativity in delivering world-class tourism experiences."

DRM has been instrumental in supporting these businesses throughout the awards process, providing guidance and resources to ensure their success. This support aligns with the region's long-term strategy to enhance its tourism offerings and grow the visitor economy.

Winners from the NSW Tourism Awards will now advance to the national stage, competing in the prestigious Australian Tourism Awards in early 2025.

The Riverina Murray finalists span a variety of categories, each showcasing unique attractions, events, and products.

Congratulations also to All Seasons Houseboats at Mildura for winning Gold for Unique Accommodation in the 2024 Victorian Tourism Awards. For more details on the awards and a full list of winners and finalists, visit NSW Tourism Awards 2024.
