Reequipped Riverton Leisureplex Gym reopens

After an eight week refurbishment the Riverton Leisureplex gym was officially re-opened earlier this week.

At 6am on Monday morning (24th June), members lined up to be among the first to enter the newly refurbished facility which includes Technogym cardio and strength equipment, MyWellness and Group Cycle software.

New Pavigym flooring has been installed throughout the gym and its redesigned layout has helped make the gym feel bigger, with feedback from the members being that they are excited by the new facility.

Monday’s opening also saw the new FITT factory opened for the first time with members trying out the new Technogym group cycle and Teambeats classes. The FIIT factory has been designed to be a multipurpose fitness training space with an extra 26 classes per week and 27 group cycle classes complimenting the existing group fitness timetable.

A gym spokesperson advised “the new facilities will provide a first class fitness destination and introduce new and improved services for the City of Canning residents in a more contemporary environment.”
