Recreation SA Aquatic and Recreation Conference looks to the west

South Australia's upcoming 2013 Recreation SA Aquatic and Recreation Conference is looking west for its inspiration, with major presentations set to be delivered by leading Western Australian aquatic and recreation professionals.

Keynote presentation at the Conference include:

Brenton Ragless launching LIWA Aquatics' Watch Around Water program

Tony Head of LIWA Aquatics Pool Super Vision,

Shane McCarthy increasing secondary spend,

Dale Morrissy discussing the recent refurbishment of the Beatty Park Leisure Centre in Perth.

In addition, two forums are planned for the conference:

Innovation how other centres use innovation to increase patronage and dollars,

Registered Training Organisations listen to training providers in the aquatics industry and ask questions.

The program presents a day of turning inspiration and innovation into action, with Julian Burton OAM the keynote speaker of the day.

The conference will also include water based sessions and trade exhibitors, with Debbie Wright presenting 'Innovative Instructing for five to eight year olds' and Annette Chatterton presenting 'How to use your pool space for fitness'.

These practical, water based sessions can be attended on an individual registration payment for staff in program development and delivery, including instructors of swimming, aqua, rehabilitation, as well as personal trainers and fitness enthusiasts.

To be held on Friday 6th September 2013 at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Marion, the Conference is sponsored by Links Modular Solutions.

The Conference will also see the presentation of two new awards: for Aquatics Innovation and to the SA Aquatics Industry Person of the Year.
