Rebranded Next Gen clubs partner with OnTheGo Sports in advance of Canberra club opening

With their newest facility opening soon in the Canberra suburb of Lyneham, Next Generation Health & Lifestyle clubs have partnered with ACT sports brand OnTheGo Sports to offer a new approach to fitness apparel.

As part of their recent rebrand, Next Generation, now known as ‘Next Gen’, have partnered exclusively with OnTheGo ® Sports to develop a bespoke designed range of uniforms that promotes comfort, style and durability for staff not only at the new Canberra club but all across all of the group’s Australian and New Zealand clubs.

Using state of the art materials and design styles, the uniforms cover all aspects of the clubs’ operations, including gym instructors, personal trainers, poolside, crèche, food and beverage, reception, sales and maintenance.

Explaining the importance of uniforms within the overall rebrand, Next Gen Marketing Director Andrew Savage stated “it was an integral part of our rebrand strategy to completely redesign the uniforms in a way that creates an identity for each area of the club that engages both staff and members.

“We considered a number of suppliers for this project and are very pleased with the exciting range of apparel that OnTheGo have produced and the feedback to date has been extremely positive.”

OnTheGo founder Mick Spencer explained that the business is “extremely excited to be working with Next Gen, what they are doing with health clubs is hugely innovative and literally ‘next generation’.

“We’ve worked with health clubs all around the world, and NG are above and beyond, they are perfectly in line with where we see (OnTheGo) sit as a brand.”

Founded by Spencer in 2010, OnTheGo sells custom made sportswear to sporting teams, fitness clubs, aquatic and recreation centres, hotels, education organisations and governments around the world.

For Next Gen, OnTheGo has designed, manufactured and shipped over 3,000 items to five states and two countries over recent weeks.

According to Next Gen’s Facebook page, the group’s recent rebrand has introduced “a fresh new style to our communications, membership cards, staff uniforms, website, and of course, our club signage.

“But this is much more than just a colour change, we’ll also be introducing new fitness programs, new café menus and more.”

Next Gen Canberra is due to open in June 2015.
