Rainbow’s End appoints new Chief Executive
Auckland’s Rainbow's End theme park has appointed Susan Mudie as their new Chief Executive effective 23rd September 2024. Mudie succeeds Karen Crabb, who signalled her intention to step down earlier this year.
Mudie is currently Business Development and Marketing Manager at Rainbow’s End. She brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her new role. Since joining Rainbow’s End in 2018, Mudie has been instrumental in driving the Park's growth and innovation. Her strategic initiatives and data-driven approach have helped to maximise revenue and enhance the guest experience, making Rainbow’s End a beloved destination for more than 430,000 visitors annually.
Richard Wilks, Chairperson of the Rainbow’s End Board enthused “we are delighted Susan has accepted the role of Chief Executive. Her vision and dedication have been key to our success and we look forward to the exciting developments she will bring to the Park.”
Rainbow’s End, New Zealand's only theme park, is renowned for its diverse attractions, with more than 20 rides, Kids Kingdom for young children, Playlab gaming centre and comprehensive catering services. With nearly 300 staff members, the Park remains a cornerstone of entertainment and community engagement in Auckland.
Under Mudie 's leadership Rainbow’s End is poised for continued growth and innovation, ensuring its place as a premier destination for fun and adventure in Aotearoa.
Mudie shared “I am a big fan of Rainbow’s End and the impact we have on the community and visitors to Tāmaki Makaurau. I’ve loved working with Karen for the past six years and am excited to pick up the reigns, continuing to bring joy to so many Kiwis and visitors – it truly is a dream job.
"We’re on an exciting ride, and I am looking forward to building on our successes and continuing to provide unforgettable experiences for our guests.”
