Puff Walking included in Greater Shepparton’s 'Activities in the Park' Winter program
Greater Shepparton City Council has launched the 2025 Winter edition of its popular Activities in the Park program, running from June to August and filled with exciting free and low-cost events across Greater Shepparton.
Designed to help residents and visitors stay active during the cooler months, the program features more than 45 events held across Greater Shepparton. From movement and mindfulness to arts and adventures, there’s something for all ages and abilities.
Puff walking is among the program highlights which also includes go karting, circus skills, markets, nature-based experiences and fun kids’ activities in small towns throughout the region.
A Puff Walk is a social, gentle walking program designed for people of all fitness levels. It's a guided stroll, often around a lake or park, led by a qualified fitness instructor to ensure the pace is suitable for everyone. The program aims to encourage social interaction and provide motivation for getting active.
Mayor Shane Sali encouraged people of all ages and abilities to take part in the program and make the most of our local parks and facilities this winter adding “this program has been designed to keep you active, even as the weather cools down. We want to make it easy for people to step outside, explore their neighbourhoods and take part in something fun and uplifting.
“It’s also about strengthening connections with family, friends, and the wider community. Whether you're joining in on a mindful walk, trying something new or simply enjoying our local open spaces there is something for everyone this winter.”
For updates on the activities, residents and visitors can get their copy of the program flyer by visiting the Activities in the Park website
