Public Voting to decide Australia's Favourite Event

The Australia's Favourite Event category of the Australian Event Awards allows every Australian to cast a vote for the best public event that they attended between July 2012 June 2013.

Music festivals, sporting, community and cultural events all eligible.

Nominations for the award opened last week and events across the country such as Clipsal 500 Adelaide, Bluesfest Byron Bay, Soundwave Music Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Festival of Sails, Mumbrella360, RSPCA ACT Million Paws Walk, Illawarra Folk Festival, Irish Woolfest Boorowa, Dampier Beachside Markets and Taste of Sydney stood up to compete for votes for the title of Australia's Favourite Event.

The top ten finalists will be announced on Monday 4th November and voting continues.

The winner for Australia's Favourite Event will be announced at the 2013 Australian Event Awards Industry Night of Nights, to be held at Doltone House, Hyde Park in Sydney's CBD on 19th November.

Already over 10,000 votes being cast for 24 events.

Nominations will stay open till Monday 4th November.
