Precor secures major contract with Planet Fitness

Global fitness equipment supplier Precor has announced its most lucrative vendor contract with the signing of a two-year approved vendor agreement with the world’s largest buyer of commercial fitness equipment, Planet Fitness.

Understood to be worth US$30 million, the  agreement provides Planet Fitness franchisees the option to equip clubs with the full range of Precor commercial cardiovascular and strength equipment, in addition to Queenax®, the world’s most unique functional and suspension training system.

In addition, Precor, the lead brand in Amer Sports’ Fitness business unit, and Planet Fitness are also working together to develop and offer additional digital services to the franchisee base.

With more than 11 million members, and over 1,500 doors, Planet Fitness is one of the largest influencers in the North American fitness space with more than six million workouts taking place within Planet Fitness locations each week.

As one of its three approved vendors, Precor will benefit from both the opportunity to equip new stores and the refresh of equipment in the existing outlets
