Poolplay opens at Discovery Holiday Park, Pambula Beach
More than 500 adults and a huge number of very excited children attended the recent opening of the Poolplay at Discovery Holiday Park, Pambula Beach.
Aptly named the Sapphire Soaker, as Pambula Beach is situated on the Sapphire Coast, it is the first Vortex Poolplay Elevation installed in Australia. All previous Australian and New Zealand installations have been zero-depth Splashpads®. The difference being the Poolplay structure is installed in a 300mm deep pool of water which surrounds the equipment.
The Discovery Holiday Park Pambula Beach's Poolplay elevation incorporates a range of innovative multi-level overhead and interactive play products as well as a custom-designed tube slide - designed to appeal to all ages.
Just like Vortex' other worldwide installations, the Pambula Beach Poolplay features all the Vortex innovative features such as the Toeguard (to protect little toes), Safeswap (anchoring system to allow product interchangeability), Stainless Steel Componentry (including structures, spray heads, nozzles, decks and stairs with anti-slip coating and 316 stainless steel hardware for maximum durability) and fibre-reinforced polymer waterslides for maximum strength and durability.
The strict water hygiene standards of the attraction are controlled by Vortex' world-renowned Water Quality Management System. This patent-pending solution ensures that the Poolplay unit is engineered to automatically manage critical elements such as water flow, waste water management, water treatment requirements to meet and exceed health and environmental regulations and operate with minimal maintenance downtime.
