Pollstar names Marvel Stadium among Global Top 10 venues
Melbourne's Marvel Stadium has been recognised as one of the Top 10 stadiums globally in the official 2025 Pollstar Mid-Year Top 50 Worldwide Stadium rankings.
Measured between 14th November 2024 and 14th May 2025, Pollstar has ranked Marvel Stadium as number five in the world for highest-grossing stadiums, and number seven for highest stadium ticket sales.
During this period, Marvel Stadium hosted a suite of major events, including more than 111,200 patrons for American country artist Luke Combs, 54,600 people for Green Day, more than 32,800 fans at the Aus X event and 108,100 people at Pearl Jam who performed at the venue in November.
The milestone marks the first time Marvel Stadium has been recognised in the top five venues for grossing stadiums in the Pollstar ranking charts, following its eighth position secured in the same list in 2023.
Marvel Stadium is the highest Australian venue ranked in Pollstar’s top 50 stadiums and joins an elite list of international venues in the top 10 ticket sales and grossing stadiums including Mexico’s Estadio GNP Seguros, California’s SoFi Stadium and Japan’s Tokyo Dome.
The Pollstar Mid-Year Worldwide Stadium result is the second global ranking recognition Marvel Stadium has received in the past 12 months, following its number one top-grossing concert revenue result for the month of October in the 2024 Billboard Boxscore rankings.
2025 has already been a big year for Marvel Stadium, celebrating its 25th anniversary and securing renowned international events set to arrive at the venue later this year, including Wrexham AFC Tour Down Under, Nitro Circus, Lady Gaga, Oasis, Metallica and Fridayz Live featuring Maria Carey and Pitbull.
Welcoming the venue's acknowledgement on the international touring map, AFL General Manager Marvel Stadium, Scott Fitzgerald stated "Marvel Stadium is incredibly proud to have been recognised in Pollstar’s Mid-Year Top 50 Stadiums worldwide. To be named among the best stadiums on the global stage is a true testament to the investment and innovation that has gone into evolving Marvel Stadium into a world-class, 365-day multi-purpose venue that is delivering unforgettable experiences for fans, artists, and athletes alike.
"Events like these would not be possible without the support of our world-class partners including Disney, Live Nation, Frontier, Ticketmaster and Delaware North who work tirelessly to attract the best in global entertainment and ensure our fans have amazing guest experiences at our venue.
"Melbourne is a city that lives and breathes sport and live entertainment, and we’re proud that Marvel Stadium is continuing to shine on an international stage and creating experiences that rival the world’s best."
