P!NK star shines over Sydney
To celebrate a record-breaking 26 concerts by a female performing artist at the Sydney Entertainment Centre (SEC), previously held by Kylie Minogue, venue management has acknowledged the remarkable milestone by officially naming a Southern Hemisphere star 'The P!NK Star'.
In collaboration with the Sydney Observatory and their Name-A-Star program, the newly named Southern Hemisphere Star located in the constellation of Pavo - was dedicated to P!NK for breaking the venue's record by any female performing artist, over just four tours since 2004.
A special commemorative plaque celebrating P!NK's record at the SEC was presented to her prior to taking to the stage for her eighth and final SEC show on Saturday 10th August.
On hand to present the commemorative plaque to P!NK was both the SEC General Manager, Steve Romer and Marketing Manager, Wendy Aldridge.
