PILA launches new barrier netting product for sportsgrounds
To meet the growing demand for a cost-effective barrier netting systems to protect the public and property from the danger of balls flying past the boundaries of sports grounds, PILA group have introduced two new products into their catalogue of popular goal posts and barrier netting systems.
The new products are a 4 metre Semi-Permanent Barrier Netting System and a 6 metre Semi-Permanent Barrier Netting System.
PILA explain that semi-permanent barrier netting systems are the most popular way to prevent balls flying into the crowd or out of the ground beyond goal posts, keeping everyone safe. Being semi-permanent, both poles and nets can be removed when unnecessary or in high winds.
The PILA-designed quick release system means everything can be lowered quickly and easily and PILA’s user-friendly net pulley system allows users to raise and lower the nets from the ground, avoiding expensive costs for cranes or elevated work platforms.
Both products’ poles are made from marine grade 6063 T6 high tensile untapered alloy tube with pearl white UV stabilised powdercoat finish, HDG steel spigot bases and bullet caps, and come with PILA’s industry leading seven-year structural warranty.
The aesthetically pleasing bullet cap fits snugly over the pole, preventing water and moisture from entering, while the stainless steel spigot base fittings use PILA’s unique vandal-proof security locking screws and come with PVC ground sleeves and ground sleeve caps for when not in use.
PILA’s 120mm2 nets reduce the wind loading on the poles for increased safety. PILA offers their barrier netting systems in 10 metre increments, with both of these products available as a set of four poles and 30 metre nets as standard.
The 4 metre Semi-Permanent Barrier Netting System is ideal for all levels of football, allowing at least a 1.5 metre clearance above the crossbar while the 6 metre Semi-Permanent Barrier Netting System will also cater for all levels of football as well as junior levels of AFL, rugby union and rugby league.
