Pickleball Australia latest data highlights growth of the sport in Australia
Pickleball Australia has released its latest monthly statistics which highlight the growth of pickleball in Australia with the data showing there are now 321 clubs and affiliates; and over 530 venues with more than 3300 sessions each week.
There are also 98 Pickleball Australia sanctioned tournaments currently scheduled for 2025 throughout Australia. PPA Australia and MLP Australia have 12 events in 2025 with $1 Million+ in prizemoney. NPL Australia hosts the NPL with $200,000 in prizemoney for teams across season 3 and 4 (2025) and over $100,000 in prizemoney in tournaments in 2025.
Pickleball Australia explains the reasons for this exponential growth in the sport as “it’s easy to learn, highly Inclusive fun, social and competitive and encourages intergenerational activity.”
Pickleball has also been associated with a wide range of identified mental, physical and social wellbeing benefits.

Pickleball Association Queensland now has 6000 members!
Pickleball Victoria membership has shot up 94% in 12 months.
New club in Pickleball South Australia, Northern Stars Pickleball Club, hit 143 members in just 3 months.
Sydney Inner West Pickleball Club & Noosa Pickleball Club are up 143%
Sutherland Shire Pickleball Club is up 96% in 12 months.
Northern Beaches Pickleball Club has grown by 743 members in the last 12 months.
