PerfectGym platform serves customers from Australia’s only tier IV data centre

Understanding the needs, wants and mandatory requirements of data security across the Australian fitness, recreation and wellness sectors, since early 2016 PerfectGym has partnered with Micron21, making use of their state-of-the-art data centre infrastructure.

In Melbourne on 15th March this year, Micron21 announced that the company had been awarded the Uptime Institute Tier IV Design Certification for its data centre - certification based on a rigorous set of criteria covering mechanical, electrical, structural and site elements.

Micron21 is the first datacentre in Australia to be awarded Tier IV Fault Tolerant Design Certification.

Welcoming the certification, Micron21 founder James Braunegg explained “we are thrilled to be included amongst the few datacentres in the world to receive the Uptime Institute Tier IV Design Certification.

“This is a positive first step forward in datacentre design for Australia, with rigorous data security standards to help us define a benchmark for excellence.”

With data sovereignty, security and high availability being paramount in the world of cloud based software, PerfectGym delivers its platform from the Micron21 PCI-DSS level 1, Tier IV datacentre in Melbourne by way of their redundant network, currently ranked No. 1 within Australia.

This ensures a highly available secure platform delivered to PerfectGym clients and their customers at the fastest possible speed.

Explaining the decision to partner with Micron21, Matt Inglis, Country Manager for PerfectGym Australia and New Zealand commented “PerfectGym is in many respects, the single most important business system within many facilities, and is relied upon inherently by staff and members alike to enable the use of, access to, enrollment into and purchase of core offerings of the facility.

“To this end, it is vital to be able to offer our service in both a highly secure and highly available capacity.

“We afford our customers peace of mind that their data remains secure, available and within Australia.”

“For many of our customers, data sovereignty and security is of upmost importance, and our choice to house the PerfectGym platform and infrastructure within the Micron21 datacentre ensures our customers have the highest level confidence that their data remains safe and secure.

“PerfectGym also made the decision to purchase and own each and every component within the datacentre, which ensures that all elements that make up the delivery of the PerfectGym platform are wholly owned, deployed and configured to the highest standard.”
