Basketball Australia has partners with Interfuse and IT specialists SportingPulse, to operate what is proving to be a successful online solution, The Basketball Network.

In an agreement running through to 2011, Basketball Australia is aiming to a leaders in world sport by embracing new information technology opportunities provided by the two widely successful companies.

The Basketball Network comprises of three main components providing secure access to website modules, competition management system (CMS), and database/registration modules (DB).

In what is thought to be a global first for sport, FIBA (the world governing body for basketball) and SportingPulse announced that FIBA Organiser, a competition management system, would be provided free of charge to an unlimited number of basketball organisations worldwide.
