Parks Forum invites industry to celebrate Parks Week
The Parks Forum is inviting agencies and individuals around Australia and New Zealand to celebrate the important role that public parks play in contributing to the health of communities.
The week of 2nd to 8th March 2013 will mark the second Parks Week in Australia and New Zealand. 'Parks Week 2013: Get Healthy by Nature' aims to showcase Australia and New Zealand's parks through an array of fun and exciting events.
Parks Forum Chief Executive Dave Clarke explains "the week is all about getting out and enjoying nature with friends and family to improve health and wellbeing of individuals and communities."
A number of events, predominantly fitness activities such as Pilates, yoga and Heartmoves programs, have already been confirmed, and have been listed on the Parks Forum website.
Parks Forum has also prepared a Parks Week 2013 Agency pack for all organisations wishing to promote their events.
