Optus Stadium's Kerry Gamble awarded Live Nation APAC Study Tour Prize
Kerry Gamble, Venue Operations Manager at Perth's Optus Stadium, has been awarded the Live Nation APAC Study Tour Prize for 2025, winning a learning experience trip to the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.
Thanks to the support of Live Nation, Gamble will travel to Denmark in July 2026 for an all-expenses-paid, five-day immersive safety and operations tour of Roskilde Festival — one of the world’s largest and most respected
independently owned non-profit music festivals, renowned for their progressive, community first approach to safety and crowd care.
Gamble's visit is also made possible by the Roskilde Festival team has opened their doors to provide students who are part of the Venue Management Association (Asia Pacific)'s Institute of Venue Safety and Security (IVSS) with unprecedented access to international best practice.
During the study tour, Gamble will:
Join operational briefings with the Roskilde Festival’s senior safety leaders
Observe crowd density strategies in real time
Learn emergency preparedness from experienced safety hosts
See world-class audience welfare systems in action
Experience front-of-stage safety from a pit crew perspective
Meet the minds behind one of the world’s most sophisticated risk frameworks
The announcement of Gamble's award came at the end of the 2025 IVSS program.
