BECS Technology launches App for Android smartphone and tablets, iPhone, iPod Touch

Having been designing and manufacturing reliable and innovative water chemistry controllers for more than 25 years, BECS Technology have introduced an App that will manage their industry leading BECSys aquatic controllers.

Suitable for Android smartphone, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android tablets the BECSys Now! App currently works with BECSys5 and BECSys7 controllers, with the US-based company also working on adding support for the BECSys3 and BECSysBW.

Building on the existing online capabilities for controlling BECSys aquatics controllers, the App allows managers to monitor their controllers while off site and to receive immediate notification of alarms.

Set up can be enabled by operator's IT teams who just need to forward a port on the router/firewall to the controller with up to eight recipients able to receive alarm notifications from the BECSys controller's built-in email or text messaging service.

BECSys Now! is not constantly connected to the controller, the company explain that this would use a lot of data, but readings, alarms and status are easily updated by the user performing a 'refresh'.
