Operator sought for new WACA Ground Aquatic Centre and Health Club

WA Cricket and the Western Australian Government are seeking an operator to jointly manage the new aquatic centre and community health club being developed as part of the WACA Ground Improvement Project.

As the governing body for cricket in Western Australia, WA Cricket is committed to sustainability through meeting the needs of cricket now and into the future, while creating a community and sporting destination at the iconic WACA Ground.

Moving swiftly towards completion, aquatic centre and community health club will increase accessibility and use of the venue for the East Perth and wider community and provide facilities currently lacking in the City of Perth municipality.

The WACA Ground Improvement Project is facilitated by WA Cricket and the WA Cricket Foundation, and Cricket Australia, along with the City of Perth, Western Australian Government, and Federal Government as part of the 10-year, $1.7 billion Perth City Deal.

The Western Australian Government is funding all operational aspects of the facility.

WA Cricket has sole responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the Community Health Club.

Operator Request for Tender submissions have opened online and close at 4pm AWST on Friday 20th December 2024.
