ONYX Gym launches recycling and charity initiative

ONYX Gym, located in Alexandria in Sydney’s inner south, has this week launched ONYX RE:TURN - a first-of-its-kind, sustainability-meets-charity initiative within the gym space.

In partnership with a local Return and Earn operator, ONYX Gym has installed dedicated bins throughout their facility for members to recycle eligible drink containers.

ONYX Gym fosters a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where members support and motivate each other whether a bodybuilder, powerlifter, working on body transformation or just trying to improve fitness.

And now, ONYX Gym are levelling up their impact - not just on members’ fitness, but also on the planet.

The ONYX RE:TURN initiative offers members the opportunity to drop their bottles, cans and eligible cartons into the dedicated ONYX RE:TURN bins around the gym, and each month ONYX Gym will recycle and donate 100% of the refunds to a different local or national charity – selected by their gym community.

The ONYX Gym team advises “this initiative is more than a recycling drive. It’s a way to embed meaningful, long-term impact into the day-to-day operations of a fitness facility - creating an easy, accessible avenue for both environmental responsibility and community giving.”
