OFA Showstar debuts Australia's first portable water theme park

Amusement operator OFA Showstar has launched Waterworld Central, Australia's first portable water theme park, and is set to operate the collection of travelling inflatable pools and waterslides in NSW and Queenland through the warmer months.

Recently unveiled for the 2013/14 summer season at the Sarina Showground, Waterworld Central will operate at in Prosperine later this month and at the Gladstone Showgrounds over two consecutive weekends in November before being sited at the Entertainment Quarter in Sydney's Moore Park from 26th Dececember to 27th January 2014.

Waterworld Central Director Annika Osborne recently told The Gladstone Observer newspaper that waterpark always attracted large numbers of children.

Osborne explained "we have a 10 metre Colossal Dino drop slide, a Twin Dragon slide, an array of little slides and giant inflatable pools."

The attraction also offers Zorb Balls, where guests can walk on water inside a clear plastic inflatable ball.

Osborne added "the park is designed primarily for those 16 years and under, but there is fun to be had by the whole family.

"It is free entry for anyone into the park; tickets are for those who wish to use the attractions."

In Gladstone, OFA Showstar offer two payment options to purchase tickets: a three-hour session costing $20, or $15 for those that pre-purchase online.

Osborne, from the well-known Osborne show family, added "we are a family business which has been operating in Sydney and the Hunter region for over 30 years."
