O'Connor Joins Coffey's NZ Team

Industry consultants Coffey Commercial Advisory are to gain the specialised sporting industry expertise of Brendon O'Connor.

O'Connor brings with him extensive knowledge and experience in the commercial and business aspects of the professional sports industry combined with experience in delivering local and regional government community services in the sport and recreation.

O'Connor has been a Chief Executive and senior manager in the sector for over 15 years having worked for a national sports organisation, a global brand, a multi-purpose stadium and a Formula 1 team during that time. Brendonâs experience extends to the areas of venue management and development, competitions development and management, commercial partnerships, master planning, branding, business development/marketing and event management.

His experience was gained through previous roles with North Harbour Stadium as CEO, New Zealand Rugby Union as Director Commercial and Marketing, Vodafone New Zealand as Head of Sponsorship and Jaguar Racing (contract). Brendon has an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management, United Kingdom.

Having strong leadership skills as well as analytical, strategic and business planning skills applicable to a diverse range of sport, recreation and local/regional government needs, Brendon shall be a very important part of the CCA team and will assist the expansion and continual growth of the company.
