Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort partners with Australia Zoo to extend tourism experience

Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort, a popular and award-winning family resort, has partnered with Australia Zoo to create an impressive Sunshine Coast escape for families, including food and beverage credit, and zoo entry.

The ‘Go Wild with Oaks’ offer is available for bookings made between 27th May and 9th June for stays until 12th September 2024, and is valid for two-night stays for families of four in an Executive Family Room. Guests will enjoy daily breakfast at the resort, a one-day family day pass to Australia Zoo for two adults and two children (aged 3 to 14 years old), a $50 food and beverage credit to indulge in the property’s Oak & Vine restaurant and bar, a ‘Movie Nights’ grocery hamper and a welcome bottle of wine.

Only 90 minutes’ drive north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is famed for its subtropical climate, coastline, lush hinterland and incredible seafood offerings, making it the perfect seaside playground all year round.

Australia Zoo is one of Queensland’s most popular attractions and home to countless crocodiles, immersive animal encounters with the likes of lemurs, meerkats, otters, eagles and koalas, and a renowned Animal Wildlife Hospital where you can watch animal rehabilitation and conservation efforts firsthand.

Parents keen to relax might opt to spend one day at Australia Zoo and the other exploring the extensive on-site resort facilities set amid 10 acres of landscaped grounds which will keep the young ones entertained.

From its own multi-level water play park with slides and fountains to a tropical lagoon pool, mini-golf course, spa, climbing frame, jumping pillow, floodlit tennis court and beach volleyball court, there’s no shortage of options at Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort, which has been voted a Top 10 Family Resort by Holidays with Kids.

Accommodation options range from one-bedroom apartments through to two-storey, three-bedroom villas, and the on-site Oak & Vine restaurant, which is adjacent to the lotus lake and pool for breakfast, lunch, easy all-day water park snacks, cocktails for parents watching the action from a sun lounger on the deck, and dinner for all the family – including a handy Children’s menu.

Other offerings nearby include the scenic coastal walk from Golden Beach in the south to Mooloolaba in the north. Whether strolling the promenade or completing the entire 25-kilometre trail, this coastal journey is a must for nature lovers, providing the perfect opportunity to cool off the sparkling blue ocean.

For keen mountain bikers, the Sunshine Coast's first pump track at the Sugar Bag Road Mountain offers a network of trails which includes over 50 built timber features to ride, providing a variety of beginner trails for families to enjoy, while offering experienced riders an opportunity to challenge their skills.
